Family Advocate & Mental Health Coordinator
The Family Advocate & Mental Health Coordinator supports the expansion of Montana Pediatrics’ mental and behavioral health initiatives for at-risk youth in the Flathead Valley while assisting families engaged in the Complex Medical Care (CMC) program and Community Advisory Board (CAB). This role bridges families, schools, and community partners to improve access to timely, compassionate care and coordinates program initiatives to ensure community-driven program development

programs and partnerships, we connect Montana families with Montana-based pediatricians,
ensuring access to high-quality care no matter where they live.
Our Kalispell offi ce is home to our administrative team—a small, mission-driven group working
together to support pediatric care across Montana. The environment is professional yet family-

work.
- Support implementation of evidence-based mental health initiatives (Single Session Interventions), including school-based and telehealth interventions for at-risk youth in the Flathead Valley.
- Establish and Maintain partnerships with schools, community organizations, and health professionals to enhance access to care in line with grant activities.
- Support expansion of the SHINE (School Health Information and Nurse Education) program by coordinating online sessions and expanding into in-person, scenario-based trainings for school health staff in the Flathead Valley.
- Assist in reporting, evaluation, and sustainability efforts related to appropriately funded mental health programs.
- Perform CMC program duties as needed to ensure high-quality, family-centered care for families involved in the program.
- Collaborate with the Pediatric RN, care coordination team, and pediatric providers to connect families with appropriate medical, social, and mental health resources.
- Facilitate intake, follow-up, and data collection for CMC and mental health program participants.
- Coordinate the Community Advisory Board (CAB) in conjunction with the grant administrator, ensuring meaningful community engagement and feedback.
- Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented
- Friendly, proactive, and resourceful in problem-solving
- Mental Health and/or social services experience a plus
- Skilled communicator – comfortable managing email, phone, and in-person interactions with warmth and professionalism
- Able to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and follow-through
- Approximately 28 hours per week/4 days per week, with fl exibility in scheduling
- In-person presence required at our Kalispell offi ce periodically to align with grant-funded needs (mileage reimbursed)
- Pay range: $28-$30/hour, commensurate with experience
