Marketing & Communications Specialist

We’re looking for a creative, mission-driven Marketing & Communications Specialist to help us share our story, grow awareness, and strengthen relationships across the state. This is a hands-on role with room to grow, perfect for a recent graduate or a seasoned professional looking for a part-time, flexible role. Job Details

  • Job Type: Part-time
  • Pay: $36,000 – $42,000 per year
  • Expected Hours: 32 hours per week

    Key Responsibilities

    • Marketing & Messaging: Help shape and execute communication strategies that engage families, healthcare providers, schools, and community partners across Montana.
    • Content Creation: Create clear, compelling content for social media, email campaigns, outreach materials, and our website.
    • Brand Engagement: Support campaign planning and message development for major initiatives, ensuring consistency with our voice and mission.
    • Digital Strategy: Collaborate on advertising and analytics efforts using tools like Google Ads, HubSpot, and Google Analytics to improve reach and performance.
    • Storytelling: Elevate the voices of Montana families and providers through storytelling platforms and creative media efforts.
    • Outreach Support: Represent Montana Pediatrics at occasional in-person events and assist with community-based outreach initiatives.

    Tools & Platforms

    The ideal candidate is comfortable using (or eager to learn) the following tools and platforms:

    • Required Core Tools: Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Gmail, Drive), Canva, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn
    • Preferred Analytics & Marketing Tools: Google Analytics, CRM systems (we use HubSpot)
    • Bonus ExperienceAdobe Creative Cloud programs such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Lightroom

    We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:

    • A strong communicator with a talent for making complex topics clear and engaging
    • Organized, proactive, and excited to take ownership of projects
    • Familiar with digital tools and analytics platforms (or eager to learn)
    • Passionate about pediatric health, rural access, and mission-driven work
    • Eager to grow with a collaborative, fast-moving team

    Position Details

    • Remote work (must reside in Montana)
    • In-person availability for candidates residing in the Flathead Valley
    • Some in-person requirements for events planned well in advance
    • Flexible hours
    • 30 hours per week, with the potential to grow in both hours and responsibilities
    • Reports directly to the Chief Communications Officer
